umm.. pretty bad. my buddy got some and put it in his green gas sniper and shot me from 500 ft. when it hit me, it got inbedded in my skin. lol. but their fun to hit ur enemy with.
I've been hit in the hip a point blank with a metal bb and it went 3 inches in to my hip had to go to the docs to get it out, but it doesn't really hurt after you first get hit. But we don't use metal bbs in airsoft we use plastic.
Good grief. I'm glad I'll never play in a game with you guys. Metal BB's were meant for use in precision TARGET airguns and were never meant for use in a skirmish.
They are common in Asia where they have some serious target shooting competitions using airsoft guns.
You may want to check your local laws on 'BB' and pellet guns. Many cities and states treat guns that shoot plastic BB's as toys and they are loosely regulated. However, some places ( like where I live) will consider anything that fires a metal projectile to be the same as high powered pellet guns. In addition to the stupidity of shooting someone with a BB that will penetrate skin, you may be setting yourself up for legal problems.
dude airsoft wars are ment to play with airsoft guns not metal gas bb guns. thats made for hunting. if they want to only play with gas guns for accuracy than play with GAS AIRSOFT GUNS.
Bryan, there is no room here for attitude like that. Your friends obviously have no sense, and you guys have not done your research to find out what airsoft is. If you want to play with metal bbs, feel free, but please dont compare it what so ever to airsoft, and dont complain when one of you gets seriously injured or killed.
As strange as that sounds, i have read reports for years (usually 4 or more a year) where someone is leathally injured from a bb/pellet gun using metal or lead ammo.
If your friends or you think that you can run metall bb's through a standard airsoft gun, by all means do that as well, when your guns break at least the rest of the responsible players wont have to deal with it.
Use your brain, tell your friends to do the same. Be responsible, because whether you realize it or not when you play you represent all players in all areas. It only takes one incident. Those of us who are diehard players, are very protective of our hobby, if that means we come off rude, so be it.
