You're in a feirce firefight and bb's are flying everywhere. your barely dodging them, but ur not so convinced that everyone else is doin as well. u somehow manage to look out and see that nobody on the other side has called themselves out. ur thinking u cant be that bad a shot. and that everyone on ur team cant be that bad. What do you do?
Keep playing fair. its true people sometimes dont call their shots. but ur not the ref. and you cant prove any different. a lot of airsoft is an honor system, and you as an individual need to keep your standard high enough to be honest, even though they may not.
A few things can be done to possibly prevent this from the start though. Before you even start the game, goin over rules about hits and medics rules very thoroughly can help immensely. Weve played games where u only count vitals as a kill (head, neck and torso), but unfortunately, everyone had a different idea about what was and wasnt a vital. led to a huge miscommunication, and a terrible game.
Another thing to keep in mind, is that players do sometimes get lucky. Ive had awesome shots come at me to where i should have been hit. But at the last second, a gust of wind, or maybe a stray branch saves me from death. Im sure if you've been in the sport long enough, we've all been on both sides of that deflected bb. Another time i had a barage of bbs shoot at me, and the only reason i survived, i swear was pure luck. These instances happen. Sometimes more than others.
Again, our game is an honor system, and its players are expected to keep that honor. Understandable it doesnt happen. But dont let those time drop you to a level we dont want to be at. Overall, were here to have fun and have a great time. lets let everyone in on that fun and not take away from it by playing fair.
