Minors in Airsoft

Hey im 13 and most of my team is made up of young airsoft players we teach all basic safety rules and very serious about not screwing up are sport. Thing is alot of local tourneys don't let us in cuz of are age even thoe where serious airsoft players but we are able to get in to some cuz we have connections. What do yall think about this issue letting minors play not young young but like over 12 play in matches but they have to be mature and serious u know.

My basic question has been answered just talk about what u guys think about minors in airsoft, and post any tips u have for these new kids or minors in airsoft enjoy :) !

Permalink Reply by Rampage on June 25, 2008 at 7:52am: alright. i can see where your going. but not everything comes down to maturity. our team age is 15 -20. we've let some 10 year olds play with us and the issue is not maturity. it is the ability to follow orders and the knowledge of what to do in the combat zone. people under 12 and somtimes under 13 can have a hard time with that.; ▶ Reply to This

Do you mean they are physically and mentally incapable of following orders or that they are off screwing around and don't listen. knowledge of what should be done in a combat zone comes from experience in the field, either an actual match or a training exercise. Permalink Reply by Rampage on July 15, 2008 at 8:57am: its both really. i was in a team training scrimage once and i got stuck with two 10-11 year olds and one was just standing around and got hit. the other i ordered to provide suppressing fire (not in those words) as a distraction so i could flank around "kill" the opposing team. im right about to open fire when i turn around and theres that same kid iordered to provide suppressing fire. i start chewing him out, telling him to go back, when we both got hit. we lost the scrimage because he couldn't process what "stay put" means.; ▶ Reply to This
