Warpig [USMC] Happy to be a part of airSOCOM!

Wow, this website is truely amazing! I've been spreading the word about this place like a wildfire...its a MUST for anyone who is serious about airsoft. The way the teams can connect and share information is so simple and easy to manage, I absolutely love it! Kudos to the creators of this website...this is honestly one of the best ones I've come across to date. I urge anyone that has friends that play, or knows of a team who isnt signed up on here, to spread the word! -Warpig, Team SOG… Continue

WarKitten Breaking Into The Ranks

First of all.. thanks to everyone who's been really friendly here. My stepson Matt was alittle thrown that I became a member of airSOCOM.com because I'm a 43yo mature, responsible adult girl! Apparently not many of his friends have stepmom's who will stay up all night :: and subsequently call of from work the next day :: playing COD4 and COD5 online. Or who like going to gun ranges and paintball and now jumping into airsoft. I didn't know too much about airsoft .. only that both… Continue

Malone Things that really grind my plastic gears: Wal-Mart/Dicks/Clear Plastic airsoft guns.

Things that really grind my gears: Part four. Disclaimer, if you are offended by this posting... then... well.... don't read it perhaps? The target audience for this is not young players who enjoy going to wal-mart for all of their airsofting needs. If your picture of your airsoft "arsenal" looks like a clear and black checkerboard, I don't really care. You have already been suckered in, and are either beyond saving or you have already realized your mistake. The target audience of this blog en… Continue

Malone Things that really grind my gears: No HD video of airsoft games on youtube.

This one is short, but sweet. HD Video. The revolution is here. It has impacted every corner of the multimedia world. From sporting events, to news, to youtube. But airsoft on the other hand is still in the dark ages. Searching youtube for "airsoft" and "HD" yields very few results. My question to the rest of you is WHY? I know some of you guys have money, why not go out, get yourself a good camera, and let the world enjoy your games? Why is HD so important for airsoft videos you might ask? B… Continue

You have never held or seen this airsoft gun before, you need the opinions of average joes like you. You… Continue

Trevor Stealth Tips

I have many stealth tips i use for my scouting and i think they could help the average player considerably. 1. i always line the bottom of my ammo containers with packing foam (like whats in the top of a bottle of paintballs) this makes the bbs quieter when in rapid movement and when reloading 2. ALWAYS PLACE YOUR STEPS. it can let you lose some enemies, or let you move silently into position. this is a common tip but always essential 3. Train your vision. Train you eyes to not only notice fi… Continue

Arthur "Lex" Lowther Elitism in the Airsoft Community

In every community, and every group/team there is always that ugly little beast called Elitism. Airsoft is no different. I started playing extreme action sports with Paintball, and saw it often enough, When the Tippmann A5 came out you where not a woodsballer if you didnt have a heavily modded milsim A5 that can almost shoot full auto by just feathering the finger, MARPAT Camoflage hit the Market and BAM same thing you where no body if you didn't have the latest camo. Airsoft.. much the same w… Continue

Manuel Navarette Prepare for Battle

Prepare for Battle: Faced with the task of leading a section out through hostile country and taking out an enemy position, what do you do? How should you prepare for the mission? How will you react to enemy fire, or even find the enemy in the first place? How will you mount a successful assault? There are, in fact, six logical steps - "battle drills" - that you are trained to follow on such an operation. In the heat of battle it's not always possible to stick slavishly to the rules, but th… Continue

Manuel Navarette RAIDS AND AMBUSHES

Special forces units operate deep in the heart of enemy-occupied territory, undertaking both active and passive missions. A typical passive operation involves moving into position in the utmost secrecy, setting up a concealed and secure observation post, and then passing information about enemy troop strengths and movements back to HQ. It may be months before the observers can be extracted or even re-supplied, so their training has to make them self-sufficient, allowing them to operate in the m… Continue
