About me

I am Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Marine Corps Historical Association. The MCHA offers an immersion “Historical Adventure” experience at Camp Basilone. A 1960's immersion encampment created to give civilians the chance to experience what it was like for US Marines receiving their last training prior to being sent to Vietnam. The Camp is constructed and coordinated by military historians and veterans. At Camp Basilone, participants experience something similar to what some of the more fortunate Marines encountered during their training.

The Marine Corps Historical Association, MCHA, a nonprofit organization, is founded to promote the history of the United States Marine Corps, the importance of national pride, service to others, and the maintenance of a drug and gang-free lifestyle to youth through a rewarding program which is both physically and mentally challenging.

MCHA Staff and Board of Directors are made up of both Marine and civilian personnel. The MCHA acknowledges the gifts and talents of both service and civilian personnel. A cadre of civilian non-paid professionals are vital to our Mission.

If you are a civilian, or a Marine with a love of history, the MCHA needs your assistance. Contact us about membership.

Gun safety and airsoft

I know this might seem like an oxymoron, seeing that the point of our sport/hobby is to "shoot" at one another, but one of the most common things I see at airsoft games is a lack of gun safety.

Gun safety should be taught to everyone, including airsofters, because correct safety measures are critical. Learning gun safety with an airsoft toy gun ensures knowledge and apply to apply safety rules to live fire weapons. (I can't tell you how many times I've been muzzle swept by an airsofte… Continue
