The #1 Online Comunity for Airsoft Teams

I just discovered the Systema airsoft guns while searching around the Net and they seem like perhaps the current state of the art in airsoft guns. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience using them and are they worth it?
Thanks,
Jim

If you buy one then you have the money to do upgrades also. One of the big problems that aot of people have told me about is the ability to adjust the FPS.i have heard many differant versions of the story of hw you have to buy certain cylanders for certain FPS. This is kinda true. A cylander has a range of FPS that it can adjust to . When you buy a systema gun you get a cylander with it . Then if you have field rules on FPS you will have to adjust from there. I know that systemas FPS go from about 300 to 550. It all depends on which cylander you buy and then how you adjust that cylander. The good thing about the guns cylanders are that they are color coded for which FPS strength they have. If you have any specific questions I would ask one of the GMR guys. I know that they have couple systemas on their team. I am sure that they would be able to help you with any more questions. Well, the systema PTWs have a sensor in the gun that make it so it shoots 3 round burst and also it has a sensor that makes the gun stop shooting when the magazine runs out of BBs. So if you want a realistic gun the PTW is what you want. But it not only has those awesme features it also has a easy break down upper and lower that seperate like the real thing and it is very easy to switch out the cylinders to change the FPS. Later DOC

You are looking at a price range from $900( very cheapest probably wont find but one place , this excludes tax usually) to about $1500 ( for the more updated versions and more rare versions. I would look into a used one if you can. Usually people dont sell systemas but sometimes you get lucky. And yes you can buy mech boxes and drop them in most guns. Just be sure that it fits before you buy cause you dont ant to be out of luck. Later DOC

The PTWs are made to be exact replicas (size and weight) of real steel for police/military training. I do not know if they actually are used, the SWAT team that used us as bullet sponges for a hostage exercise used simunition. They are expensive. But, you can buy complete systema mech boxes to drop into any airsoft gun.

Unless you are buying for military training there is no use for these. They are way too expensive and you would probably be limited to Sniper rules only if you used these. They have an extremely high FPS which is useless. This gun is basically for military training.

I think you are under educated on these guns friend. Systemas do have differant piston types and have differant strengths that make the FPS differant. You get the pistons by color code and each one has a differant limit on FPS. There have been systemas that I have seen chrono at 325 ( around there) for IRENE 6. Also if you cant use these guns for low FPS rules why do you see guys at IRENE running around with systemas and the FPS rules are 376 TOPS and there are sniper FPS rules but there is only about 4 sniper slots and there was a ton of Systemas out there. I personally want the systema gun just for the fact that it has true 3 round burst and also doesnt dry fire. They are real weight and can have parts changed out with real steel parts. I like that alot considering that I have alot of real steel parts. Plus why not have the best if you can afford it. Please chck your info before posting. This is how bad rumors are spread and how people end up putting good products out of business. Later DOC
