Event Description

DOW's third hosted event! We will be playing multiple scenarios such as capture the flag, DOW's timed hostage rescue, bomb scenario, and the good old DOW slaughter match (elimination game).

Capture the flag- One flag will be placed by DOW's abandoned house (within a 30 ft radius) and tthe second will be placed in the clearing on the other side of the field. First team to capture the enemies flag and return it (still attached to the pole) to their own base wins. Unlimited respawns. Play until objective is complete.

Bomb Scenario- Teams are split up again and the map is the same as before. But this time the team that walks to the clearing is given an old oxygen tank which represents a bomb. This team must place the bomb INSIDE the abandoned house and set its timer for one minute (must be set inside). The defending team has exactly one minute to defuse the bomb and place it back outside. If the timer goes off, the game is over and the attacking team wins. Defending team (team in and around the house) is allowed ONLY THREE people are allowed inside the house. Everyone else must be out by the bunkers or across the creek.

Timed hostage rescue- Two teams split off and go in different directions. The hostage taking team takes two players chosen at random from the other team. The hostage taking team takes the hostages out in the woods and makes "camp" in a random spot. The hostages must sit up against a tree until they are rescued or executed. One guard must stay behind with the hostages at all times with a stopwatch. Every half hour a hostage is executed. To identify a dead hostage they will have a red rag on their head. The search team must find the opposing team and rescue the hostage. One minute respawn at the dead box. Unlimited.

DOW Slaughter- Don't worry, its just what DOW calls an elimination game. Two teams split up and kill each other. Vital game. If you are hit in a vital, your dead.

-Waivers ARE required for this event. Please print it out and have it filled out BEFORE you get to the field. Extras will be available at the event if they are needed.-

Alright, I've had enough. I would not be prolonging this if you kept my name out of your mouth. Thank you.

It's also pretty funny that I hadn't said anything UNTIL my name is brought up. I have every right to respond to someone telling me to do something when last time I checked I'm an adult and Adam, you're not my father. If you guys want to end something, don't address me or use my name. Make a general statement and leave my name out of it. If you can't do that, that is your problem not mine.

Also, I've driven through Maryland enough to know and you have no right to tell me otherwise because guess what, you don't know me.

If you notice you are the one prolonging this arguement Cougar, everyone else has resolved their issues but you. Chill out.

Adam, I don't think I'm the only one talking about it... so how about you point someone else out? That'd be great, thanks.

The thing is WE DO KNOW! But we don't bitch about it.

Of course were defensive. You guys drive one time and make it out to be the end of the world. Every one of us have done it multiple times and we've never said anything.
Luke Comment by Luke on May 20, 2009 at 6:54pm
i planned on it they are so defensive..haha

I think that is enough for this. I said it took me 7 hours to get into my bed. Others on our team got home quicker depending on where they lived. Also the other vehicles werent waiting for one of our vehicles that got turned around and lost in DC. So everyone needs. To chill. Im sure that it wont take that long every time. Just stating that with everything that went wrong Sunday, it took ME 7 hours from the time I left the field to get into MY bed. Discussion is over. Luke leave it alone.

Sorry if that offends anyone, but I'm sick of looking here and seeing all the complaining. And Luke, we don't know anything about southern MD. But we figured it out as we went. I don't even need directions anymore. I can probably recite the directions there and back for you. Talking about it won't help anything. Study a map. That's what I did.

Wait a second, you think all of DOW can drive? Um, no. My car is ALWAYS carrying about six people, when I should only carry four in my car. We put ourselves through all kinds of brain damage to arrange games and transportation. I waste my gas, put miles on my car, and am responsible for most of the younger guys on my team, And guess what, I'M ONLY 17!

And please answer a question for me, is it any less dangerous for us to drive to you? No. Its not. So do me a favor, stop complaining about the drive. We've done it a bunch of times without one word. You guys come up ONE TIME and complain like no tomorrow. If you guys want to represent the Maryland Airsoft League that means going ALL OVER MARYLAND.

Also, I can drive from Frederick to SMAT's field in about two and a half hours. I can make it back in the same amount of time. If it seriously took seven hours, you probably took a long way or something. But honestly, it doesn't take that long and its not that bad of a drive. I've done worse and, again, I'm only 17 years old.
